Plates Back Acher's have been breeding Border Collies and selling puppies for over 6 years. Our dogs are ABCA and CKC registered Border Collies out of "Working Stock". We maintain 7 breeding females a year. Our first priority is to have well socialized, healthy puppies, with work ability and disposition being just as important. Color is last in our list of priorities. Once breeding decisions are made, the rest is left to nature with some help from us.
Our male Drover is a Black and white and Pistol is Red and White with bloodline out of Wales, adding a third male this year will be a blue merle , our females: Star Bright is a Red Merle tri with blood line out of Ireland, Sage is a blue merle, McKenzie is a blue merle, Lilly's Bailey a red and white, Anna is a black and white, Bristol is a Lavender Merle, first year breeding Chelsea is a blue merle, retiring this year Razzal Dazzle is a Red and White she has been a great mom for eight years, all have a very calm disposition. We have found that pups from this line are very smart healthy, capable of excelling in areas of work, herding, agility, therapy dog, Frisbee, companions, or great family pets. We breed for quality, not quantity.
All of our dogs and puppies are kept up to date on vaccinations and de-worming. They are handled daily and are fed twice a day. We strive to produce a dog that will excel in intelligence, disposition, and ability to work. With this as our goal, then everything else falls into place and the results are high quality puppies that would fit anyone's need.
